Dear Santa....

Dear Santa

It's all about me.

love, Lucy

Oh, it isn't?  Nina says no matter how cute I am, it really isn't all about me.  I say, why not?

Cute  works for me.

I mean, look - I have a pillow that says that... so it must be true.

Besides, I've already done my shopping.... Mama says she can't believe I actually spent my own money - she thinks I am saving for my Fiat... which I am, but she doesn't know that I know how to get my Nina to buy things for me so I can keep my money.  Works for me.

Gotta scoot, time for my nap.

It's a Puppy party...

I told you about my friends - The Interlopers- of course I mean that in the nicest way.  I love my puppy-pals and today we even played.  Well, not Harriett, she only plays with her 'brother' Theo, but I played with Theo too.

Here we are - pretending that we didn't toss all the toys everywhere (tee hee)...of course, puppies giggle.

Theo (or Mr. Lips, 'cause he kisses all the time.... Mommas says he licks, but I think he is really kissing)
is wearing his aqua sweater that matches his collar - and- get this.... he has an aqua feather in his ear.... pretty handsome, huh?

I am wearing my indoor sweater that Nina made for me from a soft blanket and the lining is cashmere - whatever that is.... you can read all about it on The Cashmere Cowgirl blog that Nina writes.... (www. blogger.com - the cashmere cowgirl).

Nina took Theo and Harriett for a walk to do some business. (hey - what about me? I have lots of smelling business to do - checking my tree-mail and leaving messages... sigh, later....)

Harriett still misses her Momma and will only come out for treats.  She did let Nina take her picture but I am not sure she was too happy.

Isn't she just the sweetest? Nobody minds if she looks a bit put-out.... she is really pretty too.

Tessa is not sure what to think because I think maybe Harriett is afraid of her because she is soooo big so sweet little Harriett growls and Tessa thinks... (well.. who knows what Tessa thinks?? ) and so she barks with her outside-voice-bark and scares poor Harry-belle.

See what I mean? Look how scary she is.... (she isn't really, Nina says she is a big sweetheart and we love her so...)

Oops, gotta scoot, I think I saw a car drive by - who could that be???

Sleepovers - not so fun

What fun to have puppy friends for a sleepover - well, that is what Nina says.

For me? I don't get so many cuddles and I have to act out to get my share of the treats and belly rubs.

But Harriett and Theo miss their Momma who is far away right now and they  are lonely.

I am lonely too.  No, that's not true.  I have my bed, and Tessa's bed and I can hide when I want.  But they are sad and they sleep cuddled up on my Momma's bed - waiting for their Momma.

I don't think our folks know how much we miss them and we don't  understand why they aren't here.

So I am really trying to be nice and not nip their tails, or eat their food.  Not that I am doing this for more treats, but when my people are away, I don't like it either.  It's better when I can sleep on Nina's soft shirt or wool sock.  Her smell makes me feel better and I sleep a lot if she is away like H and T are doing now.

Their Momma will be home tonight and they will be happy.  I love them and so does Nina and Momma as they are so sweet.

Don't tell, but I will miss them.

Then again, there will be more treats for me and Tessa- and more lovin'.
